Ascension Body Modification

Such a neat shop!! So much beatiful at work and the skulls and specimens are exquisite! I decided to get a second nose piercing and Sara did a fabulous job! They have an excellent selection of jewelry and everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. Very clean and sanitary.

Came here to get my first facial piercing in August, a septum. Staff were so kind and caring regarding me having anxiety. They gave me appropriate advice regarding gauge size since I fell in love with a 14g piece of jewelry. Very professional, very clean, and the atmosphere is amazing! I also bought my boyfriend a new piece of jewelry and three wet samples I fell in love with while my piercer was preparing. My piercing healed well and I can't wait to go back for my next piercing!

Update: went in today for my daith and had another fantastic experience!!

Sarah provided an incredible experience. They went through every single motion with me to make sure that I loved the placement of my piercings, gave their own recommendations on what they thought looked best, and has POSSIBLY THE MOST STEADY HAND I've ever been stabbed by. I highly recommend booking an appointment with them and getting some new beautiful jewelry added to your body. They are the kindest, most patient artist I've had the pleasure of working with. 100/10 experience.

I recently visited Ascension to get my nose pierced. I didn't know much about nose piercings and Ares, my piercer, was very informative. I wanted a hoop piercing but they politely explained that it can cause problems to start with a hoop and that they only do initial piercings with studs, but they also said that if I wanted a different piercer at the shop would do a hoop. I was pretty surprised at this, so I didn't get pierced that day. I was worried they would be mad at me for this, but they were very understanding and kind about it. The next day I decided to go through with the stud and Ares did a great job. They were kind and made me laugh a lot which is good because I was really nervous. The whole shop is very clean, professional, and inviting. Ares is very knowledgeable, open to questions and very comforting. I'd definitely get pierced by them again.

Not only was everyone super professional, they were polite and accommodating. Ares did my piercings for my seconds on my ears, the left didn't sit right at first and they fixed it right away and it's sitting beautifully now. I love ares as this is my secondary time getting g pierced by them and I am beyond pleased. Also the price was more than fair. Thank you Ares!

I got my septum done and Sarah is awesome! She was so professional and I absolutely love the piercing, I also love how in depth she went with the process and aftercare. Definitely will visit again if I have any more piercing needs in the future.

I would give 3 stars if not for Vern coming to save the day; Vern was the guy to pierce my nose and he was great, it was an exceptional experience in service and in the piercing itself. He was prompt and told me everything I needed to know about my piercing, 5/5 stars. I recently came back to have my stud replaced with a hoop after I was all healed up, and that experience with Ascension was a bit different. The replacement was done by a different piercer who was very nice, but they put an incorrectly sized ring into my nostril, which I was unaware of until I called the piercer back due to infection-like symptoms. Also, they did not tell me how much the ring was before they charged me, which resulted in an 80 dollar charge (which was on me, I didn’t ask how much it was, but monetary transparency on their end would have been appreciated). I’m not giving 5 stars because that piercer gave me an incorrectly sized ring that caused bleeding and pus, and charged me without disclosing the price of the ring. I’m giving 4 stars because I called the shop and Vern made it right, changing the size of my ring, giving me all the info, and compensating for the last experience.

i called because i needed a touch up and i could not remember the artists name and the lady who answered was not helpful and rude, i hung up.
i do not want a free tattoo, just a touch up and those are free. i called and the the lady who answer goes “ascention” no how can i help you today nothing so i told the lady i got tattooed there almost a year ago and i wanted to get a touch up but i couldn’t remember the artist. she goes if u don’t know the artist i don’t know the artist i can’t help you. i said okay thanks. she was no help at all and very rude tone on the phone. she didn’t list names of artist didn’t ask if she could help me in any other way so i hung up. and now ur calling me a liar? check ur cameras i got our 2 second conversation word for word. i have picture proof i got my tattoo at ur shop january 8 2022, but it doesn’t matter i will never step foot in ur shop ever again. 0|10 will never recommend ur shop. you guys could have handled my situation so much better in my opinion, it’s okay i’ll call up por vida ;p

I don't think I could give Ares enough kudos and compliments in just this small text box. I've been to them quite a few times now and each time is better than the last. They are a very kind, caring person who walks you through each step in the process. They make it abundantly clear that they 1- love their job and 2- go above and beyond to provide the best experience they can. You absolutely will not regret your decision if you choose to go with them. 100/10 experience here.

10/10 experience ! was super anxious to get my first piercings in abq and they were awesome plus super reasonably priced ! would definitely get pierced here again
