Pablo was fantastic. His interpretation of my design was spot on. Very personable, talented, educated about his craft. Should I decide to get another I would go back to him in a heartbeat. Meticulously clean. Fastidious about glove changes and sterility. Healed fast. No problems.

Leo Gonzales at Stay Gold has been tattooing me for over 20 years, he's an incredible artist as well as a professional, courteous and comfort-inducing tattooist. Stay Gold has a professional, clean, artistic and and relaxing atmosphere, I feel comfortable there which is very important to me!

Excellent!! Came in with a design idea drawn out, and they modified it perfectly! Very nice and surprisingly very quick with the needle :) and especially nice considering it was my first tattoo. Am already planning going back in a week to get my second one! (First one was done May 2015)

Hands down the best shop in Albuquerque!! Leo the owner and all of the artists working there are so talented and professional!! Nothing but the best at this shop!

I saw Kenny's work on Instragram and fell in love with his style that appeared in his flash and immediately wanting something from him. A couple tattoos later (from Kenny) and I'm officially hooked. His thick lines and use of colors work so well together. I have a ton of ideas for tattoos but then Kenny posts new flash and that is all I want! He comes up with so many cool ideas and he is super fun to talk to! Check him out! :)

You won't find a more talented group of artists anywhere in the world. Leo is as good as they come and anyone working with him must be good. I wouldn't go anywhere else for a tattoo. This is where you go for ART on your skin.

I went to Stay Gold today as a walk-in and was very pleased. The shop is extremely clean and the employees were very polite and personal. I spoke with Pablo and he was very eager to give me exactly what I wanted. He was very reasonable with the prices and told me to come back if I ever needed a touch up. I will definitely be going back.

This is a great shop - The artists are professional, friendly, and talented. They clearly take a lot of pride in their work and it shows.

I absolutely hate this place. This is the most unprofessional tattoo shop I’ve ever been to. I’ve been there 2 different times and was treated poorly by 2 different workers. They didn’t even tell me Hello when I walked in. They were talking down to me as if I was being a nuisance for just wanting a small tattoo... even though I had previously called and they said it was fine. I said I wanted a small tattoo and the guy didn’t even sketch one out.. instead he copy and pasted a generic clip art flower and printed it. I said I wanted it to be the size of a quarter, but instead he made it the size of a grapefruit. When I said I didn’t want the flowers to have leaves he gave me a peeved look and angerly crumpled up the paper. He had 0 consultation with me and very vaguely asked what I wanted. I was confused because I was expecting him to ask me at least a little something more than that. Didn’t ask about placement. Didn’t ask about colors. Didn’t discuss cost. Ignored when I said I wanted it to be small. He automatically started setting up his station as if he was about to get started with me... I am almost POSITIVE he was gonna try free handing it because he never even showed me what he was going to do.. what really set me over the edge was when I said I wanted to discuss pricing before getting started. He responded with “well how much money do you have”. “Money’s no object huh?” Those phrases really irritated me and it was very rude to pretty much state that he was willing to take as much as I have for a tiny flower tattoo. At that point when I said I was uncomfortable and didn’t want to get the tattoo that day he gave me a dirty look as if I just ruined his day or something. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a tattoo place and I’m so glad I didn’t stay and continue to be treated like that.

If you’re looking for a really quality, really kind, experienced, and knowledgeable tattoo artist then I recommend Rick from True Love tattoo. I get all of my tattoos from him and I’m really glad I decided to get the flower from him. He’s a genuine person who understands professionalism and will give you beautifully detailed work. Oh! And he actually sketches all of his tattoos by hand and makes it personable. He was baffled when I told him about my other experience. I am so happy to have found someone who truly cares about the client experience. He has my dedication for life and I will always continue to bring all of my friends there. Please don’t make the same mistake as me by going to Stay Gold Tattoo.
