If I could give this shop ZERO stars, I would. I have been to Tattoo Maven several times now – for tattoos and for consults. Their complete lack of respect and professionalism is extremely distasteful. I had a great experience, from start to finish, working with just *one* of the shop’s previous artists. A few months later, I set out to book another tattoo with this same person. I sent over a $100 booking deposit to the shop’s Venmo, mentioning the specific artist’s name in the description. She never received that money. I was notified a few weeks later that the artist had chosen to leave the shop, for reasons I entirely understood, and that the appointment would not be able to be fulfilled. I had initially booked the appointment with this artist’s specific work in mind and had been working closely with her on a design. While I understand that booking deposits are typically non-refundable, I felt as though this was an extenuating circumstance. I reached out to the shop via email asking for my deposit back, as the shop was unable to fulfill their end of the agreement – a tattoo from the artist I booked. I was initially told that they would be happy to transfer the fee to another artist at the shop. However, I was not thrilled with the work I had received there from other artists in the past, and I was not interested in booking with any of the other artists at the shop. I explained to them that the tattoo was personal to me, and that I had only sent over the deposit with the intent of having it done by the specific artist I had in mind. Rather than refunding me the money, from the service they did NOT provide, I was met with a series of unprofessional emails back. To this day I have not received a refund from the shop, yet they are offering a $200 gift card in a raffle to the person who leaves the best review.
UPDATE: Studio policies were *just* recently updated on their website to back track and cover themselves regarding the money they literally stole from people. Once again, this power move just speaks to the unprofessional nature of this entire studio.

Scheduled a consult with the owner to get a piece done and couldn’t be happier with how it went. I was met with complete professionalism and attention to what I was looking for. I ended up putting a deposit down to book an appointment and can’t wait to get my piece done. On top of that the atmosphere inside the shop is second to none with very friendly staff that are more then willing to make you feel comfortable.

This shop has to be one of the best on the island customer service is amazing artist are top tier. Nothing but great tattoos and people. I’ve gotten a full sleeve by Edwin and I’ve gotten nothing but compliments on the work. I’m looking forward to my next appointment.

An absolute amazing shop to get a tattoo or piercing at. I got countless tatts from here from my guy Gavin. He is hands down the nicest guy you could get tattooed by and is super cool to his clients. Gavin really makes you feel like you always have known him and does FIRE work. GO GET YOURSELF A SICK YATT FROM THIS MAN!!

First of all they are WAY overpriced.
I went there to get my nipple rings changed and I didn't have the jewelry.
They charged me 40 dollars in total for a BASIC 14 gauge ring with no color and no OPTIONS. It's ugly. The place I usually go to has lavish nipple rings and charge $20 bucks to change (they didn't have the 14 gauge this time)
Second the piercer David was so mean and ununfriendly.
I'm sensitive and he was like "do you want to do this or not" Then after the first nipple was done he was like "move your hand" because I had my eyes covered.
Piercings can be a scary and needless to say painful experience.
Who wants an unfriendly piercer.
I don't care if David has " been doing it for over 30 years ".,
Will not go back.

I’ve been to this shop a few times and one other shop but this shop is by far better. I’ve worked with 2 of there artists and they are all great, everyone in the shop is very friendly. The art i’ve gotten is crazy good. While being tattooed it’s a fun environment with the artists in the shop too. Cant wait for my next appointment
