I waited 6 months for my appointment. 3 weeks before the appointment the artist emailed me once and then stopped talking to me. I sent several emails that went unanswered. I emailed the day before my appointment and finally got an estimate. The artist had to reschedule me and was very accusatory when I could not accommodate her. Then she changed her mind and said that I could keep my original appointment. I ended up cancelling and losing my deposit because of the lack of communication and I also felt bad about the whole experience and did not want to bring that energy to a permanent tattoo on my body.

Kerry is an amazing artist with a unique style that the tattooing/body arts community can be glad to have her as a contributing member. I LOVE her work and her dedication to the art. I will certainly be returning to Kerry at Heart of Gold Body Arts for many more tattoos in the future.

Savannah is an amazing artist and a wonderful, down to earth person. She made me feel very comfortable and was noticeably excited to work with me which makes me feel super special. Her work is lovely and I'm lucky to have her art on my body forever.

Before Derek, I didn't have a piercer that I trusted and was loyal to. After my first experience with him, I decided that I wouldn't go to anyone else for a piercing. Professionalism is a huge buzz word in my field of work, and like any field, it should be strived for. Not only is he extremely skilled, but he is also friendly and easy to communicate with throughout the whole experience. The space that he is in now (Heart of Gold Body Arts obviously) is very clean and full of windows and pleasant lighting, and there's even mountain views from his piercing table :). The ladies he works with (Kerry Burke and Baylen Levore) are kind and incredible tattoo artists. Heart of Gold Body Arts is a premier piercing/tattoo shop for Asheville, Hendersonville, the surrounding areas and NC overall.

Just changed out some jewelry for a nose piercing here and they are a killer shop. Got pierced when I was living in CA and was nervous about going to anyone in NC - due to a lot of shops in my area not having a lot of quality jewelry selection and many shops stating they carried "surgical steel" so it was "all good" despite my persisting that I needed gold or titanium. After calling in and talking to the shop I knew I wouldn't find anyone else in my area that would be as good as this shop and it was well worth the drive to Hendersonville. Nic helped me out. He was insanely friendly, knowledgeable, and just an all around stellar dude! He explained everything to me and was super informative. I work in health care and am very aware of safety hazards and situations that could lead to infection, contamination etc: they were so clean and trained-I was very impressed! The whole experience with all the staff was amazing and I will be recommending and praising this studio to everyone. Keep up the good work y'all! ill be back for a new piercing or tattoo asap.

I had a flash piece done by their new artist, Lorin, that made for a wonderful experience and tattoo! Lorin was so sweet and made me feel super comfortable the whole time I was at the shop. My tattoo is on its way to being all healed up and is looking like a dream :D

I highly recommend Heart of Gold Body Arts to anyone. I had my first ever piercing done there by Colin and the experience was great. I felt very safe and the healing process has been very smooth.

Kerry may be a beautiful artist, but she does not know how to deal with customers. She insulted my wife and stole our deposit. Told us "I can't see whats inside your head, but since you like my art I will just do whatever and you'll like it." Never performed the work and refused a refund. New business that will not likely succeed due to bad business practices...sorry.

I've gone to Kimber twice and she does a fantastic job. She definitely has a good hand for minimalist/fine line tattoos. I would recommend any of the other artists there, too. They're all super talented.
