The communication aspect of the artists here is really lacking. I emailed Carter about a tattoo idea and he responded a week later saying yes, he will do my tattoo and asked for some more information. I sent him a reply with all the information needed about my tattoo, and never got a response. I waited 2 weeks and sent a follow up email, asking if my other email was lost. No response. I waited 3 weeks again and called the shop (during their open hours) and left a voicemail explaining that I never got email responses and I was worried they might have gotten lost, and left my name and phone number. No call back. This obviously does not impact the quality of their art because they all appear to be amazing artists and I wish I could have gotten a tattoo done there. It’s just extremely frustrating that Carter agreed to do my tattoo and then never responded, despite multiple attempts to reach out. Especially during a pandemic where I could not just stop in and talk in person, communication online is super important.

I only have two tattoos - both are large pieces and both were done by none other than the owner of the shop, Chris Carter. I knew that he would be the artist for me when I saw his portfolio. As it was my first time getting ink done, I was scared and nervous (as most are) but Carter and company made it a very relaxing and welcoming experience for me. As far as his work, I really appreciated the level of detail and care he put into each element of the pieces. He does a great job of working with AND without an image to go off of. Some elements of my sleeve were improvised and drawn freehand, which was really impressive to see come to fruition. I simply told him what I liked and what he made out of that was better than anything I could imagine.

I am so happy with the results and I couldn't tell you how many compliments I've received on his work (almost every time I'm out in public). Though I've only worked with Carter, Aaron and Hailey are both astounding artists in their own right. In the future, I would love to have some work done by them also! Collectively, iHeartTattoo is a wonderful atmosphere because everyone is just chill, friendly, and jammin' out to great tunes all day. I highly recommend you give them a chance - you can't go wrong at this shop!

Had a piece done by Chris Carter a few years ago, still my favorite tattoo to this day! Incredibly clean environment. The shop is very professional but friendly. Willing to work with your original ideas, but trust that your artist will do amazing work because they have some really creative minds here. Great if you are nervous about your first tattoo - a little more expensive than some shops, but well worth it and you'll be happy you spent the tiny bit extra for top notch work.

After browsing different shops, viewing portfolios, meeting with different artists and reading a ton of reviews, I came across this shop a couple of years ago. Circumstances happened and I was not able to visit until recently, but let me tell you, I am so glad that I waited to get this particular tattoo done at this particular shop! I don't think anyone could have done a better job of bringing my ideas together in one piece with such precision. This is definitely a top 1% shop for quality of work, friendliness of staff, relaxing atmosphere, cleanliness and overall tattooing experience. Haley rocked my tattoo, and for it being a somewhat large piece (it takes up most of my inner calf), she was able to get it done in great time and it by far the most gentle work I've had done on me, and this is my 9th tattoo. Her line work is phenomenal, and the tattoo healed so easily, I've gotten nothing but compliments from everyone who's seen it. If you are looking for a premier shop in Columbus, this is definitely the place to go!

Excellent tattoo parlor! Carter was very helpful, both in finding a time to fit us in and in designing the tattoo. The quality of his work was excellent and he was fun to hang out with during. His information about care of the tattoo was extensive. The shop itself was clean and interesting. We will be back for sure!

Ao is such a talented artist! Not only do I love my piece visually, but it healed perfectly (and quickly!). On top of that the entire experience felt safe and comfortable. They're amazing!

Went to Aaron for a custom design on my ribs, and am blown away at his talent. The precision and shading are just amazing. He was kind, patient, and explained everything before he started. It still hurt like hell, but it was worth it! The shop has such a welcoming, comfortable vibe, too. Carter is a sweetheart too!

I went to Aaron for my first semi-large tattoo with color. I knew what I wanted so I searched online and looked at different tattoo artists portfolios until I found a style that I liked the best. I'm so happy I found Aaron at ihearttattoo. I got a couple of peonies on my thigh. He created a work of art and I couldn't be happier with the tattoo. He took the time to add detail and make it look amazing and original. It is better than what I imagined when I first had the idea for the tattoo. I'm still in awe of how artistic and beautiful the tattoo is. I've already gotten so many compliments and I just got it yesterday! Aaron was very friendly and easy to talk to. The studio is super chill, clean, and everyone is relaxed and really helpful. Definetly going to go back in the future!

Aaron Wallace was recommended to me by a friend and I was lucky enough that his style was exacly what I was looking for. He was informative on what to expect for my first tattoo and offered advice on size, placement and orientation. The shop is a clean and comfortable environment and was easy to get to. Setting up the consultation and appoinment was painless and everyone there was friendly. Last but not least my new tattoo is amazing. I've gotten tons of compliments and I can't stop staring it. Got 3 more ideas in the works that I'm definitely taking to Aaron.
