Matt and his fellow artists form the best, most talented and I have to add beautifully clean and welcoming studios I've had the pleasure of visiting. Laid back, superbly talented artists I've worked with both Matt and Ben and while I love finding great artists everywhere, this will always be the studio I come to for creative, beautiful artwork every time.

Matt did an amazing job. He made sure he understood exactly what I wanted and nailed the details. He is a nice guy with a good sense of humor so it was a pleasure to spend a couple hours with him getting tattooed. Will definitely go back.

I have gotten tattoos from Jay Blevins and Matt Carlisle. Great to work with them both.

Ben Chambers did my tattoo, phenomenal artist... This is a very safe feeling- clean environment. I would definitely suggest making an appointment if you're interested. I'm completely satisfied with my tattoo.

Sero has great artists and a great vibe. The prices are reasonable and parking is easy to find. All of the artists are nice. I was tattooed by Matt and he was extremely accommodating and was more than willing to answer any questions that arose.

My tattoo artist, Katrina, just moved to this shop. I was impressed at the space, cleanliness and overall atmosphere of the place. Most people look for a specifuc artist more than a shop, but the all the artists here are friendly. Katrina explained everything she was using doing from start to finish and did an amazingly crisp, clean tattoo. Given this is a memorial tattoo, it was important to me that it come out as perfect as possible. The only downside is lack of direct parking. But plenty of street and church parking across from the shop.

Ben is awesome. Amazing artist, honest and insightful about what will work and what wont. You dont just get a tattoo, you get a life changing experience. I will never go to anyone else! The atmosphere in the shop is perfect...super good stuff

Jarrett has done the majority of my left arm, and I’m completely obsessed. He is one of the most kind human beings and makes you feel totally relaxed while getting tattooed. Jarrett is so versatile when it comes to style so there’s no doubt that he will come up with something unique and personal. I highly recommend Jarrett, or any of the artists at Short North!! Client for life 🤙🏽

Alison was amazing!! She took my very particular ideas and transformed them into an amazing piece of artwork. Her lines were impeccable and the color work was amazing. I also had her redo an old tattoo and she rocked it!! She managed to take my old and faded phoenix, keep the same style and idea and created a beautiful, new piece of art. Further more the entire staff was very clean, friendly, and professional. I would also liketo thank Alison for the design process. We thoroughly talked about the tattoos, and she worked on them over night. Then when I went in for my appointment we went over the sketches and adjusted them until I thought they were perfect. She was more than happy to adjust them and not at all offended and she was able to provide the artistic vision to include the details that were important to me. The prices were very reasonable and I will definitely be referringanyone I know to get tattooed here.

My friend and I, recently went in for small, spur of the moment tattoos and Jarrett was amazing. He was so funny, and nice. I love how they turned out, and most definitely returning to Short North Tattoos for my next one.
