Great shop! The atmosphere is beautiful. Not dingy like most shops. Steve is my artist I followed him from another shop and i would follow him again if he moved. He's a great artist and I wouldnt have anyone else tattoo me.

I followed Ashley Henson from another studio to Upper Hand. I was very pleased with the clean, professional atmosphere. Ashley is a very skilled artist and I have been tattooed by her 4 times. Each time, she was able to take my ideas and make them even better. She is very patient and understanding in the whole process and has an excellent beside manner. I felt very comfortable at this studio and plan to go back in the future.

Cannot say enough AMAMZING things about the shop and staff, especially Ashley Henson. Ashley has done two of my many tattoos abd both are even better than I imagined, one was even free hand. All lines are smooth and straight, wonderful and bright coloring too! I have one with lots of white and its still in there perfectly and its more than four years old and on my back so it gets lots of sun.
Long story short, what great ink, wonderful artist, clean shop, legit prices… Upper Hand is your shop!

Was vacationing in Charleston last week and walked into this studio. The studio was extremely clean, the artist met with me immediately drew up the tattoo I wanted exactly how I wanted it no edits or modifications. He then placed the tattoo exactly right and very quickly and efficiently inked me and it looks perfect I love it. I have been tattooed all over the country the is my 14th tat and this was one of the best and most professional studios I've ever been to. Highly recommend and would go back in a heartbeat.

Absolutely love Ashley & Steve. I followed them to this shop from another. I haven't had the pleasure of having work done by the other amazing artists in the shop, though I'm sure that time will come. The overall atmosphere of the shop is great, open and very well laid out. Very clean, great location and well lit. Quality work, quality people and an eclectic collection of personalities that can't be found elsewhere.
