Sawyer is the BEST!!! I got refereed to him by a friend, went there and got my first piece done with him and 3 days later got my next big piece! He took an image out of my head and put it on paper!!!! I've never been able to express it to anyone that understood what my vision was but Sawyer did it!!!!! My wife did hers too with him today! AWESOME AWESOME!!!! 10/10 Sawyer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to see Sawyer at pops about 3 weeks ago. The facility is clean and Sawyer is very knowledgeable and experienced not only with his art and ability to tattoo but to keep things clean and make sure everything is done the right way. After a long and onerous 13 years since my last tattoo session, I heard about Pops' and Sawyer from a work friend who's been going to Sawyer for a while now. Having the proverbial itch to get inked again, I decided to explore my options. I initially scheduled with another shop closer to the house but after visiting & sitting down with Sawyer over a consultation, I canceled the other appointment and set about getting a half sleeve done with Sawyer.
To say his work is impressive, is an understatement. He not only took my idea but modified it so that it fit/worked better. He understood my intent for my design but also added his touch. His attention to detail is superb as none of my previous work had as clear of line work nor as bright of colors.
Let's talk about his shop, it's just what you want in a shop; clean, inviting, and a really chill vibe that amps you up about getting work done. He's got all his artwork on display and past work posted on the walls in the back so you can add to his wall when yours is done. Gives you a feel of a little piece of ownership in the shop.
Thanks to his touch and skill, I'm healing far above where I've healed in the past, in half the time.
I don't often leave reviews but his shop and his work deserve the time and attention of this posting. If you're in the stage of shopping around, give Pop's serious consideration and you might... just... find it to the be last time you shop around.

Pops is a hidden gem in Pantego, clean and inviting. Sawyer went above and beyond to make sure my vision was what he had as a finished product. I brought in a drawing and he made it better than I could have imagined. Professional and super nice guy. We will be back soon.
