I'm from California visiting a friend and wanted to get a tattoo. This tattoo shop was named the best in Kitsap county so I decided to come here. The staff made my experience in WA that much more memorable. They were all busy when I came, but acknowledged my presence which I appreciated a lot. Had an hour to kill so walked around downtown Poulsbo. There I was quite a lot of things to look at. There was a pretty cool bookstore, coffee shops, restaurants, a brewery, the marina, a small aquarium. I got my tattoo with Justin. Very professional and knows what he's doing. I would highly recommend Thor's Hammer and Needle especially if you're visiting from out of town or even of you're not!

Told them what I wanted to spend on a tattoo, artist was an hour late getting started because he was with another customer during my time slot. Took him another hour to start because he hadn't even looked at the designs I sent a week prior and he need to draw it to stencil. He took three smoke brakes and a lunch while doing the tattoo, which would have been fine but they later told me they charge by the hour.. Took two sessions to finish the tattoo.. I had told them I wanted to spend $350.. Ended up being $660 and I felt like I didn't get my money's worth for the work I received..almost held hostage to pay more than I wanted as the owner and artist waited for me to get money from an atm. Anywhere else and it would have cost $350. The tattoo overall was OK..
Went to action tattoo across the water and they were amazed what I received was so expensive.

Great place & atmosphere, people there are awesome, clean place as well, will be going back. I highly recommend this place to anyone. Got my tattoo by Justin and came out exactly like I wanted.

Always a pleasure doing business at Thor's! Justin, Jake, Drew, Mike and Zach are awesome! They are excellent artists with great senses of humor. I've never been disappointed...expect by certain customers who disparage the establishment because of their own misperceptions & lack of reading ability...or reading comprehension. That is no reflection on the regular clients and should not reflect negatively on the THNT team. The guys go out of their way to ensure prospective clients understand their roles and responsibilities, as well as, encouraging each client to review artist portfolios to find an artist/artists who share their particular artistic flair. This practice is an important step in choosing the person whom you can share common view and trust. Having had a bad experience in another state... professionalism, openmindedness and respect for all remain the biggest reasons I continue to choose the THNT team as "my place".

Great place to go! Atmosphere is awesome, music is great, and the staff excel at what they do. They do excellent work, and you can tell that everyone enjoys what they do, which only makes the tattoos and experience that much better. No better place to go!
