12 Volt Tattoo Chico

I had an amazing experience at 12 Volt like always! I have gotten tattooed there 3 times, and all have been wonderful. I came in for a walk-in at around 12:30 on a Saturday and they immediately got me with an artist, Mel! Mel was so chill & put time and effort into my piece. Mel was super personable, kind, and reasonable! 12 Volt provided us with water, and a very sanitary space! I got a beautiful sun with a face and Mel absolutely crushed it! Will definitely come back for a 4th time when I visit chico & will be requesting Mel!

Dont get me wrong, its a cool environment. Pedro will rip you off though. Charged me 1500 on a piece i got on my upper arm, and he went as slow as he could possibly go. The guy charged by the hour and with something that wouldnt take long, he took forever. It cost me an arm and a leg to get. You will get ripped off if you use Pedro.

These guys went above and beyond to make my 30th birthday one to remember. I went with 3 other people and all did the wheel of destiny. I am definitely going back. Chris did an amazing job and I will definitely have to get another tattoo from him. I really love his style from looking at his art around the shop. THANK YOU 12 VOLT TATTOO!

Went to get my first tattoo here. I loved it, it came out very beautiful. I had people recommending other places but once I saw their tattoo it was a no for me. I had a different tattoo shop I wanted to go to first but this place was the only one open with great rates. I don't regret it one bit. It's a bit pricey but like it says on there wall "Good tattoos ain't cheap & Cheap tattoos ain't good". I'm definitely going back for more tattoos

I advise you if you plan on getting a tattoo by Pedro at 12 Volt. Be prepared. Service was pour, appointment got cancelled unexpectedly and reschedule hours before my scheduled time. When I arrived he was not willing to give me the exact tattoo I wanted. Everything I told him I wanted on the tattoo, he had to put his own twist too it. After the fact he agreed to do the tattoo when I set the appointment.. He refused to do it the way I wanted when I showed up because he didn’t want to copy a tattoo someone else did. In my opinion he’s not that big of a artist to worry about that and if I’m paying, showed up on time & didn’t waste your time then, I should be able to get what I want respectfully. I really didnt appreciate the service there and I’m usually not the type to give a bad review, But this whole encounter ruined my day.

Went to Mobs with a couple ideas and the results were two very solid tattoos. I’ll be coming back often for more great art!

I came in as a walk in. The staff and artist were very friendly and professional. Zac did a great job with my tattoo.

Zac the one who did my tattoo was able to get me the same day and time I came in for a consult. The staff is friendly and fast. I ended up getting home and noticed an issue with one of my tattoos so I called and expressed my concerns to Zac and he was totally cool about it and said once it heals I can come back to get it fixed🤗 I really enjoyed all the artwork around the shop and the vibe inside is great this was my second time getting tatted there my first time was several years ago. I definitely recommend checking them out😁😎

This is not a review of the tattooing services here. I'm sure the artists here are very talented as I had booked an appointment with one after looking at their impressive portfolio. However, the one star review is for the absolute lack of knowledge about ADA laws. This shop refused me service because of my service dog. That breaks federal law. I wasn't going to make a scene so if they wanted to break the law, then so be it. They stated it's shop policy to not let animals in for sanitation reasons. My service dog did not need to be attached to my hip. She only needed to be in view of me. I have gotten many tattoos at other shops that understand ADA laws. My dog has sat on the floor, not interfering with tattoo work at all. However, they still refused me service. So, the artist refunded my deposit and I left to file an ADA complaint about disability discrimination. Because that is exactly what happened at this shop. I'm sure everyone here is very knowledgeable about tattooing about you might want to brush up on disability laws. It feels horrible to be turned away because of a disability. Because of something I can't control and something I need medical equipment for.
