Opal Tattoo Studio

Zara designed and tattooed a spine tattoo for me a few months ago and I absolutely loved what she designed for me! I traveled out of town to see her and the whole process was great! She was very professional and sweet; not to mention the shop is very clean and relaxing. I would definitely get another tattoo from her and recommend this shop for your tattoo needs!

I could not recommend Zara, Erin, and Jacqueleen enough. They are the sweetest human beings who will make your tattoo experience the best by far. I have gotten a half sleeve done by Zara as well as a tattoo of a lion that I got for my brother. I also just recently got a hand tattoo done by Erin. They are professional, friendly, and will make you feel as comfortable as possible all while doing amazing work. The energy in their shop is just as amazing as the energy they radiate. Beautiful humans who do some beautiful artwork. I have no bad things to say about Opal Tattoo, and this is hands down the best shop I’ve been to and will continue going to. Couldn’t recommend enough!!!

I am absolutely obsessed with Zara and everyone who works at Opal Tattoo. I have 6 pieces now by Zara and 1 by Jackie and I am absolutely obsessed. Zara has helped me fall back in love with my body through art and kindness. I am so thankful to have connected and have a go to artist like her! I can't stop recommending this shop so please everyone go. Everyone is so sweet and lovely and gentle. I am honored to know the people in this shop and have their artwork on my body. Can't wait for more.

I went to Zara after searching online for years for someone who I can trust with a floral thigh piece. The booking process was efficient and easy! When the day of my tattoo came around her work and professionalism did not disappoint. So happy I trusted her with my skin. I booked her again but moved so I had to reschedule, now due to my husband’s work I won’t be able to make my appointment and had to cancel. It hurt me to have to do it but I know I’ll have more of Zara’s art on me some day!

Anyway - if you’re looking for a studio with incredible artists and great professionalism definitely check this place out! They also support other artists in their shop (small businesses and such) which I thought was a neat touch!

I had gone to a flash event before and loved Zara’s work and have followed her for a while as she done tattoos for my friend. Naturally, she was my go-to when I wanted a large flora hip piece and she was amazing! Not only was the tattoo beautiful but she was so kind and calming and professional. I’ve been to tattoos before where j get there on time and then have to wait anywhere from 1-3 hours for them to finish the stencil but we got there, she was ready, made a couple changed and I was out in an hour. So amazing and I’m so in love! Will definitely come back for more/to add!

100% recommend Opal Tattoo Studio! Everyone here is so nice and talented. I've gotten a few flash tattoos as well as custom tattoos from Zara (the owner), as well as Jackie her apprentice. I have yet to book an appointment with Erin (hoping to do this very soon!). I always have a great experience coming here... which is why I probably keeping coming back for more 🤩

I got my second tattoo ever from Zara in 2018 after I moved to Los Angeles. It was exactly what I wanted, and now all but 2 of my 33 tattoos have been done by Zara, Erin, or Jackie at Opal Tattoo Studio. All of my tattoos have stories of trauma, hope, recovery, and more, and all of them have been treated with such respect for my stories and for their craft.

Zara has done all my flowers that are wrapping around my arm that each celebrate growth and beauty. I could send Zara a picture and she perfectly replicate it exactly on my skin. Jackie did a stunning girl to celebrate my ED recovery, drawing it multiple times and in multiple ways until it was just right. Erin did the perfect jacaranda tree on my 3rd anniversary of moving to LA around the times they bloom, and was so patient after I asked them to stencil it three separate times (still sorry Erin, ty for making it perfect).

All of their professionalism and skill is matched only by their kindness and respect.

The studio itself is always clean, calm and inviting, there are always snacks or drinks if needed and there’s always a cute movie or chill music playing. 12/10, highly recommend, you get what you pay for, and that is excellent tattoos.

Opal Tattoo Studio will now and forever be the only place I go for new ink. I have been tattooed by Zara (shop owner) three times now, and her work is always impeccable. Her attention to detail and talent in her craft is unmatched, and I am proud to display her work on my body. The other artists at Opal are also impeccably gifted and each have their own “signature” styles - I’d definitely recommend looking at all artists’ work!

Not to mention, the environment of Opal Tattoo Studio is welcome, open, and loving. I have never felt out of place or uncomfortable. It has all the positive vibes you could want during your tattoo experience! Plus, they support local artisans and often have pop up shops at their flash events.

I would recommend this studio to anyone I know in a heartbeat!

Opal tattoo is one of the most welcoming places i’ve ever been to. I booked my first tattoo with Zara and i’m so glad I did. This piece was very special to me because it was a memorial for my grandpa. Zara made sure I was comfortable the whole time and did an outstanding job on my tattoo. She is extremely kind and so is everybody else who works in the shop. I highly recommend this shop to anyone !!

Zara is an amazing artist who has created three tattoo designs for me (so far). She listens to your vision/idea and executes it way past your own expectations. The shop is beautiful inside and the artists have made the atmosphere in there so warm and inviting. Can’t wait to go back and add to my opal tattoo collection 😌
