The Vale Tattoo

My wife and I have both gotten two tattoos each, over the years from KC at the Vale. Katelyn, the owner, and KC, the artist, have always been professional, honest, and courteous in their interactions. They communicate great online and in person. KC has tons of experience and will he straight with you about what will work, what won't work, and what he can or won't do. We have been extremely happy with the pieces he's done for us and definitely plan on going back in the future. The Vale is awesome!

My sisters were visiting and we decided to get coordinating tattoos. We were all three nervous first-timers. KC fit us in the next day AND we are so pleased with the results! better looking than the idea photos we showed him! Definitely five stars!

I came in here to get an estimate and a tattoo done. Talked to the guy who works here and he was extremely rude and unprofessional. Gave me attitude and I don’t recommend this place at all! There’s so many other places that are much better and nicer. I understand the tattoo artist said no probably because he doesn’t have experience with lip tattoos but it’s the way HE SAID IT. He was flat out rude. He could have said it nicely. And I’ve read some of the other reviews and if you look you’ll see how they have ruined and butchered other people’s tattoos. So I’m glad I didn’t get anything done here. Make sure to look at the yelp reviews as well. Lots of horrible stuff on there including work these people have done on people and messed up. Don’t waste your time coming here.

KC did an excellent job designing our sister tattoos off of a similar photo with our individual adaptations. Then gave a perfect tattoo! Highly recommend .

Lily was the one who did a cover up of an old tattoo on my arm and not only was she extremely professional but did a FANTASTIC redesign! It came out better than I could have imagined and she has a light hand(unlike a lot of the heavy handed men I've been tattooed by) and she was super nice. The owner is also really chill and has some super impressive work and want to get my next tattoo from him.

Got not 1, but 4 tattoos from Indianna Windrose in two days. I gave him some fairly simple, mildly vague, ideas and he blew me away with how they came out in the finish product. He has a strong talent for creating visually stunning work that translates wonderfully to the tattoo medium. I’ve already booked another session next week. :)

I only have photos on the two people original works. The other two are just block lettering.

Made an appointment, payed $20 bucks and discussed ideas with an artist who'd have drawings ready for me the following week. When I got there on my scheduled time the artist (Oscar) was out of town and nobody in the studio knew about my appointment. The so called owner apologized (think his name was KC or CJ or something like that) and said he'd have drawings for me in an hour. He did. But was offended when I asked to change things around. We eventually settled on a design which was a lotus compass with light turquoise and purple watercolor splashings/light clouds. As he started working on my arm his next appointment showed up and he was getting stressed but wanted to honor my appointment. I felt him getting annoyed with me/the situation so I tried to make jokes, to keep him happy, he was after all putting something on my skin that I was going to have forever... But he kept being sarcastic and rude, he was very rough on my skin and working really fast. I got really sad and tried very hard not to cry in the chair, he noticed that and said that this wasn't working and that we should stop. I couldn't have agreed more. He charged me another $60 (adding to the $20 I already payed) but compensated me with a $100 giftcard (like I would ever go back there..) and didn't give me any after care advice. I went back two weeks later, in hopes to get my money back in exchange for the gift card. I felt terrible. When I got there and asked to speak to the owner, the girl at the front desk said she was the owner? I asked for the man and she called him out. He saw me and without even looking at the tattoo he dismissed me, said he would absolutely not return my money. It's now been two months since my experience and my tattoo is looking horrible. My skin is so scarred and swollen and the lines are a mess. I've had proffessional tattoo artists look at it as The Vale Tattoo didn't care to help me, and I was told my skin is too scarred and infected and that I should see a dermatologist for immediate attention and then consider laser removal and cover up. I was going to attempt to sell the giftcard on Craigslist but I can't because I wouldn't recommend anyone going there. Do not go there.

I got tattooed by artist Lily and I really enjoy looking at my tattoo. The line work is great and I am super stoked to get tattooed by them again someday.

The owners are great, very Friendly vibe, relaxed I felt welcomed. I went on Fri the 13 with my partner for the traditional tattoos. They were helpful answered questions and when it came to tattooing they added little tweaks here and there and made it really feel personal. I will definitely be visiting again. Not heavy handed, this was great.

I had an awesome experience from start to finish with everyone at this tattoo shop. I was coming from out of town with my boyfriend and they helped us both get in on the day we were set to be in that area. Indiana is an amazing tattoo artist and an all around nice and easygoing person. He nailed our tattoos exactly how we wanted them. I only visit this area once or twice a year but I plan to sit in his chair next time I’m there. The whole shop was clean and safe and if I could give it more stars I would. Thanks again Indiana, you genuinely made our trip extra special!
