Mammoth American Tattoo

I can’t say enough good things about my experience at Mammoth. I went in for a walk in tattoo and everyone was so friendly and welcoming! Also they are taking COVID seriously which I appreciated so much. I had the pleasure of working with Eric who was very helpful, professional and extremely talented. I am so pleased with his work and I would recommend this shop to anyone, especially for your first tattoo!

I highly recommend checking this shop out. I did a session with DJ Chilcote after seeing his work on Instagram. I genuinely appreciate the fact that he is extremely humble and honest.

This was my first large piece and color piece, I feel that I couldn’t have chose a better artist to do the work. If you want a clean tattoo that even you’ll be shocked looking at every time, he’s your man.

He educated me on traditional tattoos and some of the more newer age styles that have been coming up, which was rad because it’s something you don’t really get to chat about that often.

I also want to point out that they greeted me and offered me water or coffee. The atmosphere they’ve created at their shop is something you don’t find that often. I appreciate you DJ and mammoth crew! Thanks for a great experience.

WOW! What an experience! My husband and I just moved to Colorado Springs area and came to Denver to visit family. Happened upon Mammoth American Tattoo on the internet and called them hoping for spur of the moment, walk in availability for both of us to get tattoos that we’ve been wanting for some time. Wendy was AMAZING and SOOOOO helpful from the second we called. Fortunately, there was walk-in availability, and we received custom artwork that we are both incredibly happy with. The prices were very reasonable and the atmosphere as soon as you walk in was just friendly, welcoming, accommodating, helpful ...I can’t say enough good things!!!!! Cleanliness is of utmost priority to me and when you walk in you can smell the cleanliness! The shop is comfortably set up! Ian did my fine line work anklet, and William did my husband’s custom Lion....When I tell you that they are truly talented, skilled, professional artists, I couldn’t mean it more! This will be our shop for any future tattoos while living in Colorado. So excited we found great artists and a great shop! Thank you guys!!!!

I’ve had four tattoos done by Ian now, three of them being in this shop. Everyone in this shop is so warm and inviting. Ian does great line work and really understands whatever you’re trying to get out of the tattoo. He always seems to know how I want it to look before I do. Definitely worth my four hour drive up to Denver every time

My friend and I were visiting Denver from California and were staying near this tattoo shop. We looked them up and saw that Ian Rice specialized in script, which is what we were looking to get. We waited until the last minute, but when we called, Ian was super nice about squeezing us into his busy schedule. He even came in early and opened up the shop just for us in order to ensure that he could do our tattoo. The shop was super cool, clean, welcoming, and the staff were friendly. Ian did a great job with our script tattoo and he was very personable and professional. I would definitely recommend!

William and his shop are amazing! I went in for a quick consultation and was able to schedule a session with William a week later. He is a super nice guy, knows the neighborhood well, and most importantly did incredible work. 10 days later and things are healing up nicely.

Also - the shop is taking COVID very seriously (masks required, 2 people max in one area, hand sanitizer everywhere, etc.), which I really appreciated.

I've been working on a sleeve with William for the last 2 years or so. I've spent a lot of time at their old gallery Kaze and now at Mammoth. I love this place. I've always felt very welcome and consider William and Matt friends at this point.

William came recommended by a friend and I'm incredibly happy he sent me to him. I've met several other people who have had work done with William and everyone raves about the work and what a pleasure he is to work with. His work is incredible and recognizable.

It's a comfortable location inside an older home with private rooms and the staff is very accommodating. If you want a unique piece of work these are the artists your looking for.

DJ is the most skillful artist I've ever met he was able to take an image I could bearly describe and transcribe it perfectly! He is truly amazing in his craft. I couldn't say enough positive things about my whole experience every artist in the shop was super rad and from the time I walked in to the time I walked out I felt like I was welcome and a friend. Five stars isn't enough, huge shout out to everyone in this shop!

Shop experience has been great. Clean, great ambiance, and friendly staff. I'm specifically working with Ian Rice and nothing but great things to say about him. Artistic, creative, and amazing to work with. I've sent a few people his way and will continue to do so. Big thanks to Ian and Mammoth American.

Genuine artists and genuine people. My daughter decided to get her first tattoo of a quote written in my dad’s handwriting as an 18th birthday present. She was very nervous but Bill greeted us with a relaxed, friendly vibe and he was extremely professional getting her checked in and her nerves were almost immediately calmed. The entire experience for my daughter and I was extremely positive and resulted in a detailed and professional first tattoo by William. It was truly a beautiful day and one that my daughter and I will always be able to smile about. Anyone looking for an amazing experience and high quality tattoo should give them a call.
