Wanted a sea turtle tattoo as my souvenir from Maui, just happened to be in the same shopping center as Octopus π Ink Tattoo studio, so I went in and Asked Jim if he could tattoo me right then and there. Jim asked me when I was leaving the island, I told him not until two days from then, Jim suggested I make an appointment as the last activity I do while I was there and reminded me I would not be able to get into the ocean or be in the sun if I got the tattoo that day. This reminder was greatly appreciated, as I was not thinking that far ahead. Fast forward to the evening before I left the island I went in for my session and could not be happier with my new tattoo. Jim is professional, honest and a great artist! My next trip to Maui, I may need another souvenir and I will book with Jim again!

Jim is a true artist and professional. My mom and I couldnβt have asked for a better tattoo experience. Jim far exceeded our expectations and designed a custom tattoo for my mom and I. His shop is incredibly clean and beautifully decorative with his art work. His dog, Poodle, was a wonderful addition to the vibe of the shop! Came to Maui on vacation with my family, and wanted to get a tattoo to commemorate the trip! I called Jim and set up an appointment the same day! We came on vacation and the owner was amazing to us! We wanted a basic girly tattoo to celebrate our vacation together! Some tattoo shops are not open to small girly tattoosβ¦ James didnβt make us feel that way at all! He was very welcoming and amazing to us! Very clean. Covid precautions were outstanding. Jim was recommended to me by some friends who he had worked on when he was based out of Oregon. As luck would have it on a recent trip to Maui he was able to fit me in! He is an amazing artist and was able to work with me on the spot to create the exact tattoo I was looking for. His linework and shading are phenomenal! Not to mention how quickly he works. He was even able to help fix a tattoo I had done a few months ago and was not satisfied with. 10 out of 10!

Met Jim at art show and next day was at his shop to get small tattoo to
remember trip to Maui. After visiting with him and seeing his work I ended up with an amazing custom piece in one sitting. I now have a one of a kind piece of artwork that is truly unique. I was so happy with the sunflower tattoo Jim added to my flower leg that I came back the following week to have him add color to an existing grayscale tat I wasnβt happy with. Now Iβm getting compliments all over, even a βstrictly blackβ friend told me itβs making her contemplate getting some color! His attention to detail was second to none and as all or there have mentioned very comfortable, clean environment and good conversation!

Our Tattoo artist Jim was extremely nice and we had some great/funny conversations that took my mind off of the tattooing pain. I got a sting ray on my foot and Jim took the time to place it perfectly and shaded it exactly how I wanted it. I had such a good experience here, I highly recommend this shop for your next tattoo.
