My sister and I came to this place to get matching tattoos- first one for me, so I was pretty nervous! This place is amazing! Clean, chill, and Jacob was really great to work with and did an amazing job! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to get some art! We will be back! :)

Josh is a class act. Hands down one of the most down to earth individuals I have met. It was a pleasure to get to know him as he turned my “simple idea” into a piece of art. I have only wonderful things to say about Platinum Rose. They made sure I had the best artist for the piece from the start. My artist Matt Lukesh has been awesome to work with. He is very creative and his line work is insane! He took my vision and brought it to life. I am one session into a half sleeve and it healed beautifully. So excited to get it finished today. I also love the Flora aftercare product. I have never had a tattoo heal so quickly!

I've been going to Ella for two years now. She has completed a total of 4 different tattoos on me, and each one is not only unique, but a great experience with a very grounded individual who took the ideas I gave her to heart. Ella herself is a very gifted artist, continuing her progress through her blackwork style tattooing that is not only clean, but of her own genuine design cues. She is personal with the people she dubs worthy, and will not skip a chance to give you the advice you need when you come into the studio with a less than respectable attitude towards her profession and artwork. She calls it like she sees it, and that is possibly the most valuable trait a person should have. Especially someone you are dedicating a part of your skin to. Ella also has the support of her fellow artists in the studio (Matt and Jacob) who also deserve recognition for their amazing artwork, and straight forward, no nonsense personalities. You will not meet a better group of artists in Iowa. I would know, being a native for 24 years. I'm moving to Arizona at the end of this year, and will still be coming back to Iowa to get tattooed by Ella. I'm not only a proud supporter of the studio, but also a proud friend. Cheers.

I’ve gotten multiple tattoos done here with Ella and have been more than pleased with every one that I’ve gotten. She did amazing on my dog portrait tattoo. I continue to come back for every tattoo I get. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of work they produce. I would easily trust any artist here.

Went to Platinum Rose because it was recommended by our niece for our first tattoos. Excited and a little apprehensive and thrilled with the outcome. Ella did a fantastic job! Her art work was more detailed than we expected. Has a lighter hand so not as much discomfort as one might think. Love the results. Concerned about our comfort in the process. Platinum Rose Studio is one of the premier tattoo locations in Cedar Rapids, IA. After looking at multiple studios in CR, every single artist at PRS went beyond any of the artwork I previously looked at. The building is very clean with professional staff.

My artist, Jacob Grant, made himself available outside of the studio to help design exactly what I wanted. The tattoo session itself went flawlessly, and I received a fantastic back piece. Overall, highly recommend this artist!

Had my first tattoo ever with Jacob and must say I was a little nervous to give it a try but right after he was done I was super happy and glad I had given him a chance. I had a flower done on my arm, well up till this day I look at it and totally love it. So I called him again and asked him to extend the tattoo with more flowers throughout the arm. I also got tons of compliments from friends and people at work. Many asked me for his info and were taking pictures of my tattoo to share with their spouse, or significant other. I totally recommend Jacob without a doubt. Don’t let his few years of experience fool ya. (Few years compared to the other guys in the place that is) Jacob is great at what he does and I’m very much looking forward to come back to him.

Platinum Rose is without a doubt the best shop in all of Iowa. Matt Leukesh did a full black and gray sleeve on my left arm, as well as a cover up and a refreshing of an old tattoo. His talent and ability to create unbelievable art is unmatched. I constantly receive compliments on a lion tattoo he did for me.
