What a wonderful experience! Friendly staff.. talented artists! Matt did an amazing job on drawing out the tattoo I've dreamed about for years!
I plan on going back to do matching tattoos with my daughters in the future!

I showed up for a walk-in appointment and was out of there in less than 45 minutes. It was a very pleasant experience for a first tattoo. I had Ryan and he was very helpful and did a very good job. Would recommend Trader Bob’s to anyone.

Had some stylized initials added as a banner under my preexisting tattoo. Tyler was affirming, encouraging and very detailed. The whole thing took an hour door to door. Price was very fair. I would recommend him to anyone.

Very friendly, professional, and understanding. Ended up waiting for quite a while but it was well worth it. With tattoos its always worth the wait. Had a great time chatting and relating with the artist. Extremely clean, kind, knowledgeable and professional. Looking forward to coming in again.

My friend and I went to get an easy small/medium sized friendship tattoo that was an outline from a famous artist and 1 color.

We've both had many tattoos before, and I have some pretty big pieces with lots of color done.

This was BY FAR the MOST EXPENSIVE tattoo we've either received. The price wasn't told to us before hand, and we were absolutely shocked. For LESS THAN AN HOUR OF WORK, for the 2 of us, it was $300 plus tip. It literally took the artist 40 minutes to compete both tattoos.

I will NEVER go back to this place, or recommend to anyone to get a tattoo from them. They were crazy expensive, and should've talked about the price before overcharging us so we could've just gone some place else (we literally thought it would've been $150 for both tattoos).

Aside from the price, yeah, great lines and professional seeming environment, but there's a lot of places in St. Louis and Illinois that do the same work for much cheaper.

Joey Feather Fingers gave a beyond great experience. He did exactly what I asked for, the lines were so crisp and precise, and he was more than fair with pricing. I had an amazingly easy healing process, he was so easy on my skin. Every person who has noticed or mentioned my new piece has said nothing but radiant things! I would recommend him to anyone who cares for the beauty put on their bodies! Thank you, again for this creation for life and I will be back to see Joey again!

We promised our daughter her first tattoo as a birthday present. Alan, our artist, was amazing! He took our ideas and created a unique, one of a kind, piece to fit her perfectly. We sent our ideas ahead of time, and he was ready with a drawing promptly at our appointment time. We were referred by friends and will highly recommend to others. Price was very affordable for quality and size of the piece. Shop was spotless with a very cool vibe; busy but not commercial. I highly recommend.

I went to get a tattoo of my late mom's handwriting from an old birthday card. The tattoo itself I love but the experience I had getting tattooed not so much. It started off strong. The receptionist was great! She was very friendly and created a warming first impression of the shop and willing to fit me in as a walk-in even during COVID-19. My artist was Dave and I appreciate him being able to accommodate my vision however, I kind of feel like he was annoyed that I was asking him to move things around and trim the wording down so that the tattoo contoured with the area on my body where I wanted it. Given that this is something that will forever be a part of my body I wanted it to "look right" and not just haphazardly place it. Outside of preparing the stencil he didn't really talk to me much. There was no “foreplay” so to speak, he didn't bother to ask about the significance of the tattoo and I get that handwriting tattoos aren’t most tattoo artists "favorite thing to do" but it was important to me. I keep my other tattoo covered and he didn't even ask if this was my first time getting inked or attempt to make any small talk during the actual tattooing. I realize he might just be extremely introverted or wanted to focus but I also would have appreciated if he had made more of an attempt to make sure I was comfortable and got to know me before tattooing me. Even when I checked out he spoke through the receptionist instead of directly to me. Maybe had this been a different day and a different tattoo I would not have minded this demeanor but I specifically chose to get a tattoo to honor my mother on what would have been her 80th birthday and I wanted my experience to be as special as that day is to me. I doubt I will go back but I would recommend them because they clearly do good work. The most important thing is I walked out with a piece that my family and I love so I guess all is well that ends well.

This will be my go to spot for tattoos I love the vibe. I felt welcome and comfortable. The artist who worked on me and my boyfriend were so helpful and made sure that they really brought our ideas to life. I will forever love this place no exaggeration 🖤 pricing is reasonable, music is diverse, clean and overall I recommend you go here if you want quality tattoos and service. 🖤

Ive gotten 3 tattoos via Trader Bobs. It is defintiely my go to shop in St.Louis. Very cool and historic vibe once you walk in, and usually not a long wait, but definitely call ahead. Dave Morgan, Matt Klein, and Ryan Brown are some if the best artists in the area. Shop minimum is $100 and they do take credit. Highly recommended!
