The whole experience--beginning, middle and end--was superb. From making me feel comfortable in the shop the day I dropped off my deposit to the finishing strokes on my skillfully done tattoo, I never once felt like I was in poor hands. While Athena may be a talented artist, I feel she did not respect my time or my money. At my consult she told me my half sleeve would be 3 full day sessions. We scheduled a 4th session “just in case.” I have had 4 full day sessions with her and my half sleeve is still not finished. Every session I had with her started at least an hour late. I had to use vacation time at work to accommodate the sessions and I felt horribly taken advantage of when I ended up waiting in her lobby for over an hour each session while she socialized with the other shop employees. She took multiple breaks per hour, none of which were at my request. I have since visited with multiple highly reputable artists in the FM area and they were all appalled with the lack of work she did in 4 sessions; every single one of them saying the work that she did should not have taken more than 2 full day sessions. My time and money are extremely valuable to me and I feel she disrespected both. I will not be returning to Athena, when I am paying that amount of money ($750 a session, plus tip), I expect to be the artists only focus, and never once during my 4 sessions with Athena did I feel that way.

Katie did an amazing job finishing a bad cover up I got at another tattoo shop! It looks way better than I could have imagined and you cannot see the previous tattoo whatsoever! She really helped me push through the last part of the tattoo as well.. 10/10 would recommend!!!

Fargo has the privilege of being home to Athena and her art. I had a small, dark, blown out, and poorly done tattoo I had gotten in my younger, wilder days. I now have a gorgeous and clean cover up I am proud to display. Be wise and learn from other people's youthful indiscretions; just go straight to Athena from the start. You will be very glad you did. I certainly am!

My boyfriend received a tattoo from Laura here about a year ago. The compass she did was wrong and when he messaged her about getting it fixed she wanted him to pay for the cover up. Poor way to run a business.
