This shop is awesome. The atmosphere is great and friendly, as well as very clean. I cannot say enough about this shop. I have been a repeat customer and plan on getting all of my tattoos from here. They have very talented tattoo artists and piercers. If you in the New Braunfels area definitely check them out.

The guys were pretty nice to me. The girl that did my belly button piercing was not very personable and very quickly grew impatient with me bc I got a little nervous and needed a second before she pierced it, plus the piercing is slanted. And on top of that she didn't tell me anything about cleaning it or taking care of it. And I definitely don't look like I've had experience with body piercings... considering the fact I don't have any...

UPDATE: they attempted to correct the tattoo for me, unfortunately I was unable to go because of COVID. I really appreciate the effort.
Tattoo did not follow the stencil, lines are not straight, also not the same width in many places.on one part Pugsley went so deep that it has taken weeks to heal, and is now a different shade than it is with the rest of the tattoo. I have never used them before, so all I can say is if you go do not use Pugsley.

Trash staff, terrible communication between their employees. Showed up 15 minutes early to a scheduled appointment to get told theres over an hour wait with 0 customers in store.

Went to have some touchup work done and was worked on by Jason. After I healed three weeks I had to go back for more work due to the fact that he missed several places and it needed to be repaired or filled in. After Jason did that I needed to return for a third time because two lines were still completely missed and the tattoo look unbalanced, unfurnished and amateurish. Jason admitted that it looked unfinished but refused to complete his work without a minimum $80 shop charge. I have several tattoos and have never been to a shop or dealt with an so called artist that could care less about his work. I am new to New Braunfels so with an unfinished tattoo I'm asking if anyone out there can please tell me where I can find a reputable tattoo shop? River Rat tattoos is not one.

Ask for Naisha!! Facility was very clean & friendly staff! she is very sweet & personable. felt very comfortable as soon as we walked in.
have to wear a mask for ms. rona & you have 1 other person to go in with you.
Would recommend this place over san marcos shops!!!

Okay you have a lot of options when you decide to get art work done or body piercings done.
Two words I have professional and outstanding.
Professional because they listen to what you want and actually give sound instruction. Because amateurs give advice:
Outstanding because of the quality and meticulous detail in their craft.
That said thank you guys. And Unga Bunga back to 1977 rocking my captain caveman like I was 6 years old again.

I recently got my Daith Pierced. 7-24-17 I alway research before I get anything done. So I started watching YouTube videos about the Daith and everyone was saying three things Painful, migraine relief and takes forever to heal!! For me it didn't hurt. So far it has helped with migraine relief, I just hope it don't take a long time. I have gotten my nipples, nose, cartilage, tongue (twice), Belly button and last but not least ear lobes(three time)...the Ear Lobes and Daith were the least painful. River Rat piercing shop was very professional and friendly. Petra pierced me.
Second time dealing with her and the first time she helped my daughter with a piercing that was done wrong. Thank u @pirate_pete_official I love my piercing!!
