We specialize in a wide range of styles from: traditional tattoos, tattoo coverups, black and grey tattoos or color, neotraditional tattoos, realism tattoos, etc. We also provide cosmetic tattoos ranging from Microblading to Lip Blushing. I’m going to be honest, at first I wasn’t sure what to expect. Ya know a new shop opening up... I wasn’t keeping my hopes high. But once I got there... WOW. It is so clean, so cute, and very professional. Very impressed with it being brand new. I did not have to wait long to receive my tattoo and the employees were very friendly and curious about the tattoo I was receiving. During the tattoo process I was not bored at all, the artist and I conversed through almost the whole thing, keeping my mind off the tattoo “pain” altogether. Now the tattoo itself is beautiful and exactly what I wanted. If I could give 10 stars I would. HIGHLY recommend and I will be going back very soon for more amazing work

First of all the whole studio is SPOTLESSLY clean! The vibe of this space is modern, warm and welcoming. Mark the owner is professional, knowledgeable, and very talented! I highly recommend Strongholds Tattoo, and it will be the only studio in Duluth that I go to for my tattoos now!

Mark is a great artist and better friend. Been going to him since he was an apprentice, wouldn’t go to anybody else. His shop is definitely the nicest in town. Would recommend to anybody to go to him. Very understanding and helpful with any idea. Great environment and excellent atmosphere.

Taylor did an amazing job with my microblading. I love my brows! She is great at helping you choose colors and services if you're just not sure, and also a great conversationalist so the service passes by super quickly! I would definitely recommend her!

Cant say enough good things about Mark and his new shop! I had a calf tattoo (the leg not the baby cow) done by him about four years ago and hes been my one and only artist ever since. Currently have another forearm piece healing up nicely. Mark is an artist and you can tell he really has a passion for what hes doing. The new shop is classy af by the way. 10 out of 5 stars
