Professional Clean Accommodating

Have gotten a total of 5 tattoos from this shop, a mixture of visiting artists as well as their in house artists. They are always clean, use brand new tools every time! Very professional and work with you in the best way to get you exactly what you are looking for!

I actually got my very first tattoo here 6 years ago. I had a great experience. Everyone was awesome and respectful. However, recently, one of the employees here, Wesley Brockman, has been blasting false accusations on Facebook about my husband, another fellow, good tattoo artist in town. Don't know why but whatever it may be, it has an awfully negative reflection on the shop. How can someone accuse someone else without ever meeting them? Or even talked to him. Not even once.

My wife and I went in for King and Queen tattoos. Hers was done by Jason Pollard. He didn't get to her until late because he was busy, and rushed to get done by ten. The stencil he brought out looked great, but by the time he finished, her crown tattoo looked more like a rose bush. He didn't want a picture of it for his portfolio because it was rushed and he knew it wasn't something to showcase. We are going to have to get hers covered / finished so it can be redeemed. Our show of dedication and love for one another will now require another artist's vision to complete.

I have been there several times to see Megan. She is an incredible artist that ensures that I am comfortable with her designs but also placement. I continue to recommend her to everyone I know that is looking to get a tattoo!

Tattoo shop are a dime a dozen in KC, but the Mercy Seat stands above. Extremely experienced and skilled artist make you feel welcomed and confident. You can truly trust their advice and taste when it comes to the work you're getting done. I've spent roughly 15 hrs with Saint Jason and loved every minute.

Dayton's awesome. Been nothing but happy with the tattoos I've got from him. Worked with him on a piece I described, and he executed it perfectly. If you're in the market for a tattoo, 100% recommend him.

I have no doubt the artists do great work, but less than helpful. I went in wanting to speak to an artist about my idea, and was told to look through portfolios for who I think would be best. Anywhere else I've ever been I state my idea and am recommended an artist based on this. I then look over some work and decide.
Once I decided an artist I was asked for brief description of tattoo, and contact info so the artist could contact me to come in at a later date. After a week went by with nothing I went to the ink parlor east and was treated like my business was actually desired.

You can see in the picture the design I brought in vs. the resulting tattoo. I've consulted with other artists after the fact and was told this was simply lazy work. (Fixed up by Goodfellas Tattoos)

Response to owner: I was there on July 21, 2018. The stencil looked good when placed but the end result was much different.

Wesley at the Mercy Seat did my first two tattoos and is the coolest guy on the planet. He's super easy to talk to, makes the experience as painless and quick as possible (without sacrificing even an ounce of quality), and is a creative genius who will transform your design into a true masterpiece! All of the artists at Mercy Seat are nice, and the shop is super interesting and very clean. I'll never go anywhere else if I can help it!!

Megan Mac is amazing! I’ve followed her instagram page for years now and have two pieces by her! Everyone in the shop seems friendly & makes sure you get taken care of as soon as you walk in. The shop itself is very clean, dimly lit, and has a ton of cool art/decor everywhere. Highly recommend Megan but everyone in the shop does good work.
