We went in there very excited about getting tattoos and for the most part, @ first it was ok, then the female tattoo artist came out with the worst attitude, and their was no way I was sitting in a room for several hours with something so important. Their pricing was much higher than a few other places we went to after, that were much more friendly. A few days later I told a friend about the experience, who's had a tattoo there, and she agreed.

Chris did a great job with my husbands tattoo. Dana (female tattoo artist) was rude beyond belief. I became emotional while waiting to get a tattoo that honored my two boys who are wheelchair bound. She said she "didn't do emotional". I'm sorry if honoring my awesome non-able bodied children was degrading to her. I can't believe her lack of compassion and general ability to act like she cared for anybody there. You would think a tattoo artist would be willing to share in the emotional attachment of a persons tattoo. I guess if you want a tattoo, spur of the moment, that means nothing to you- she might do okay. My advise is to avoid her at all cost.

If you plan on getting a tattoo and you live in Kansas City or any surrounding suburbs I highly recommend going to Mercy Seat. The staff was friendly and the environment was great. I got my first tattoo on the 18th and Dana was amazing. I plan on going back to her for my next 6 that I have planned. Pricing was fair if not lower then the competition around. This place is the best. Go to Mercy Seat in Kansas City.

This business is always top quality. Workers are very inviting and talented, the shop itself is comfortable and exquisitely decorated, and the work I chose to get done always beats expectations! Would recommend to anyone, I even bring my own mom here.

This is my go to place for tattoos. The waiting area is full of unusual little things that can keep you interested for awhile with wonderful wall art that changes from time to time. Portfolios for the artists are available right by the elevated front desk as well. Regardless if you're a walk in or a long time client the greeting is always friendly and the required paperwork is quick and easy. All artists are very professional and utilize both universal precautions and sanitary practices.
Chris Orr is my go to guy but all artists are tallented in their areas. Chris is very personable, amazing artist, and a comfortable hand to be under while he's working.
Mercy Seat is cash only but there is an ATM should you find yourself in a jam.
Pro tip: show up a bit early to find parking.

I don't typically right reviews but felt this was deserving. I went in the end of May, there was a really nice guy that spent time with me and laid out how it all worked. At that point they were a 5 star but that's where any thought of my needs ended. Then he said Wesley could help and gave me his info. I called and left a message. 3 days later he text me asking what I wanted done. I responded immediately and gave 2 options with multiple pics for ideas. Nothing. The next day I text can you help with this.....nothing. It has now been almost 3 wks and nothing from Wesley. If you are going to put a caloboration of art on your body permanently I would highly suggest someone that gives a $#!@. I got my tattoo elsewhere, have another appt for my next and am EXTREMELY pleased.
Update: Wesley has since reached out and explained our misunderstanding, takes a good man to do that. Know nothing about his tattoo ability but he's a stand up guy, give him a chance.

Got my first tattoo a few months back, which was a large back piece done in all black.. have to say Mikey is such a talented tattoo artist, helpful in how to treat the work after to. The experience has me looking forward to my next.
