Everyone here is so friendly and laid back! They are very welcoming as soon as you step foot in their door. This tattoo shop is different from others, it has it's own personalization that makes it stand out from other shops. Skyler Payne was my tattoo artist, & I am very glad i had the chance to be tattooed by him. He is very talented and is great at walking you through the whole process, making it enjoyable. I will definitely be back for more tattoos by him. Thanks Skyler! 100% recommend to anyone looking to get some work done.

Called in ahead and talked with Mike Terrell about a forearm piece. Walked into the shop about 30 minutes later and spoke to him face to face about what I wanted and he outlined the area that we were going to be working with. About a hour later he was done with the sketch and it was more than I had hoped for. The tattooing was great Mike's line work is impeccable and he has one of the lightest hands Ive ever been tattooed with. Would HIGHLY recommend this shop to ANYONE looking for ink, virgin skin to 25+hour in the chair guys like myself. This shop is exactly what I was looking for when I wanted to get my first tattoo. I didn't want some corny 6th street novelty shop and Gully Cat is not that in any way. My piece was just a concept when I went in and the owner Mike created something I never imagined would look so killer and will always be proud of. The feel of the place is very traditional, comfortable, and clean. I could not imagine a better experience even if it was not my first tattoo.

I've been seeing Mike T. for over 10 years, and he has done amazing work on me. Not only has he ALWAYS created exactly what I wanted, but he did an AMAZING cover-up job! He took a cheesy '90's tribal tattoo (my first one) and created a BEAUTIFUL cherry blossom design---FREE-HANDED!
To me, the shop isn't your typical tattoo shop. It has a very eclectic feel to it, and there is always great music playing.

Nikki Jo has been doing my tattoos for years. Before I found out how amazing as a person she is she was my tattoo artist. She has always been very professional and made me feel comfortable regardless of how many tattoos I have. A lot of places in Austin do not make you feel that way. I love all the guys at Gullycat and I can't imagine getting all of the great work done anywhere else in Austin.
