I've been to & worked in a shop. This is a cool shop. Inviting with just enough edge to make your experience memorable. I haven't worked with the other artists but they all seemed extraordinarily professional for the industry. No one started any fires or threw drinks, A+.

I came in to inquire about a tattoo. I met with Skylar who convinced me he could do what I asked, then demanded I leave a $100 deposit - which i did.
Not having been tattooed before, I was nervous and when i finally got the nerve to complete my tattoo, he would no longer honor my deposit and said I wasted his time because I took too long to gain the courage to get a tattoo.
I feel cheated and embarrassed that I would even consider doing business with someone so shady and unethical. And now, he won't even refund my money and I am concerned that if he does opt to give me my requested tattoo, he will not put in an honest effort.
Poor business! Do not do business with someone so unethical.

Man I really had high hopes for this place! Researched it and planned our trip to Austin around getting my tattoo at this shop specifically. Went in on a Friday to potentially schedule an appt for Saturday. I was told that my best bet would be to come back later that day because no one would be there for a walk in Saturday. The reason I came in a day early was to schedule and appt and make sure we were on the same page about the tattoo i wanted, but all they could tell me was “come back later”. Later that day i called to schedule an appt for Sunday. The guy on the phone wasn’t very helpful and seemed annoyed that i even tried to call to set up an appt. He just said “yeah come in at 11:30a Sunday and we’ll take care of you”. Sunday was the day we planned to head home so we planned our day around this. We sat and waited (and called) until 12:10p and there was no sign of anyone. We then hit a ton of traffic on the way home because of the time of day we had to leave due to being told someone would be there at 11:30a. Again, we really had high hopes and the reviews online seemed promising. But my experience was disappointing due to unprofessionalism and misinformation. I ended up getting my tattoo done at Cat Tattoo in Addison TX by Robert and it was the opposite experience- they were awesome, friendly, professional and the prices were reasonable.

These are hands down the most talented people in the business and you should run, not walk, to Gully Cat right now. You can book em ahead of time, or walk-in and get the sickest inkjob you've ever seen. Believe it.
