Lilac Tattoo Studio: A Clean, Welcoming, and Safe Space for Body Modifications
Lilac Tattoo Studio is a women-owned tattoo and piercing shop located in Dallas, Texas. The studio is exceptionally clean, welcoming, and safe, providing a comfortable experience for all walks of life and identities. The shop is decorated with pride flags around the front desk, making it clear that everyone is welcomed as soon as they walk in.
The staff at Lilac Tattoo Studio is very welcoming and kind, taking the time to answer any questions you have. They provide a paper that has generalized healing instructions, and they also offer to do a free jewelry change when the time comes to switch out your jewelry. The staff is all women, which helps to provide a sense of comfort to women and feminine presenting people that they cannot normally find in a tattoo shop. The shop is also very open and clear on its mission to make sure everyone is treated professionally and walks out better than they walked in. This means a lot for marginalized communities because they can walk into Lilac Tattoo Studio and know that they will be treated with dignity and respect.
Every artist at Lilac Tattoo Studio maintains a very clean work area, and their setups before tattoos or piercings are done with care. The work areas also have really cool décor in them, and it all works well with the ambiance of the shop as a whole. The artists are skilled and professional, and they take the time to make sure that the design and placement are both perfect.
While some customers have reported long wait times, others have praised the shop's organization during busy events like Friday the 13th flash sales. Overall, Lilac Tattoo Studio is a shop meant for everyone and all walks of life. If you're in Dallas and looking for a professional, talented, and caring tattoo and piercing shop, Lilac Tattoo Studio is definitely worth checking out.

My friend and I got our nostrils pierced here today. Mercedes was super nice, professional, and hygienic, so I felt very comfortable getting pierced here. Everyone was really friendly, plus the decor of the shop was really cute 💜

I’ve been to many tattoo shops, both for tattoos and piercings. I will say my experience with piercers has always been you get a rude piercer who is good at what they do, or a nice piercer who is not great at what they do. Leydi was an incredibly talented piercer, answered any and all questions, was very thorough in checking anatomy of where the piercing would be, and preformed probably the cleanest piercing I’ve ever received or seen someone get. She also was super understanding and flexible with me being someone who tends to pass out with piercings. She was absolutely wonderful, nice, great at what she did.
She will be my piercer from now on, I cannot say enough about her and the shop itself.
12/10 would recommend!

I came here for my first tattoo during their one year flash sale event. I felt so incredibly welcomed and comfortable the entire time! My tattoo turned out great and I’ll definitely be coming back. Huge thank you to Saleen for being an awesome artist!

Like many, I found this parlor via TikTok and wanted to check out the facility before committing to a tattoo service. I booked an appointment with Leydi to get my front helix and conch pierced. I found the studio itself extremely welcoming and really enjoyed working with Leydi! She was calm, professional and realistic about what I was about to experience pain-wise! I then had a consultation with a tattoo artist about updating a tattoo done at another parlor - she was very creative and willing to spend some time with me talking about options to better my design! I trust these ladies and will be going back for more piercings and tattoos :) I did not experience any poor attitudes or weird vibes - assuming the people who experienced this probably gave off weird vibes to begin with

I got my piercings on a crazy hypermanic trip back in like July. My piercer was amazing. Walked me thru the process, Checked on me throughout the process as I'm a big baby with pain and make my aftercare instructions super clear. The fact that it's all women makes it feel so safe. I recommend this location to every woman who ask about piercings and tattoos!!!

I got my favorite tattoo ever from Sarah Ransom at Lilac. This shop just opened but has the vibe, customer service, and quality of a longtime Dallas original. The shop is welcoming and clean and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.
Sarah is so creative and talented! She listened to my idea and came up with a design that was one thousand times more colorful and cool than I could have thought of. I love the line work, color, and shading. I can't wait to come back.

I went several months ago, but decided not to speak until now. My experience was okay. I decided to get a piercing from the tattoo shop that went viral because it was an all female experience. They promoted a safe haven. Well when I went, the girls at the front desk weren’t the greatest at welcoming me. They were on their phones, talking to one another, and doing their own thing. I’m a pretty patient person, so I just waited til they wanted to notice me. They checked me in and than I waited for a lot longer. I was greeted by the apprentice, sweetest girl ever. She was so nice. She was patient with me while I struggled picking out my jewelry piece. I was getting two cartilage done at the same time. I was “greeted” by the piercer. Greeted being in quotations because she didn’t have much to say. Other than where did I want it. I’ve had one done before but it closed up and I mentioned that to her and I was asking for it in the same place. She didn’t care. She didn’t try to look for the same spot that I pointed out. I had to correct it to the way I wanted, cause I’m allowed anyways. Right? No she got upset that I moved it twice. She wasn’t talkative, she didn’t walk me through it, she didn’t give that vibe that the tattoo shop promoted on social media. She pierced me. Very rough might I add. It didn’t hurt the first time I did it but with her, I felt pain more than I think I should’ve. She did her job and that was it. She walked out. She was just trying to get me out of there as quick as possible. The appointment was 30 minutes, and I was only in there for 10 so I don’t know what the rush was about. I was then checked out by the apprentice. Sweet soul she was. I hope she’s doing great! She was the only one I appreciated there. Anyways I got what I needed then left. I was even thinking about getting a tattoo the same day and wanted to get on their list. But after that Nevermind.
I decided to bring my experience to attention because I’ve seen this business grow bigger and bigger, receiving more and more attention. But it’s not what it seems. It starting to look it’s just a money grabbing business. I was so excited to go back and get a tattoo there one day but not anymore. I think the fame went to their heads. You’re better off going to a business that will take their time with you, and with non overpriced services. Trust me, they’ll make their money with their MINIMUM $600 appointments.
This place had potential to be a safe haven.

This place is the best, I will definitely be back for another tattoo here! Jay was so great to work with, extremely responsive and professional. They created a custom angel food cake tattoo for my brother and I that we got in honor of our grandmother who passed. The detail and line are perfection! I have had a couple of bad experiences with other tattoo artists and tattoos at other places, I will only trust Jay and Lilac Tattoo Studio from here on out!

I got a flash tattoo at this shop and it's a beautiful shop but the tattoo was lack luster. Shaky lines and not filled in all the way. Will not be coming back. 😕

Absolutely love the shop. The girls were super sweet. My tattoo artist was Sarah and she was beyond sweet, very professional, and did amazing work. The tattoo barely hurt (I have a few tattoos and this was the best experience) and great price!
