10000/10 experience. Mimi was so kind! She is a super talented artist and I would recommend anyone who loves anime to go to her! Incredibly patient and thoughtful. Great conversationalist and just overall amazing person. Thank you Black Serum and Mimi for the amazing work! I can't wait to book another appointment with her in the future!

Amazing. What a beautiful space and what beautiful people. Everything is incredibly clean and the staff is timely, friendly and organized. I went to Kevin for the first time for a bit of a coverup/redesign and he was so lovely to work with. Each artist has their own signature style and each artist is VERY good at that style. They will tell you what they can and can’t do which I very much appreciate. I can’t wait for my next tattoo from Kevin, it was seriously so gentle, I barely felt it at all and almost fell asleep on the table. 10/10.

This shop is absolutely beautiful with a calm atmosphere and even when there were four other artists working with clients, it was nice and comfortably quiet. My artist (Mimi-sama) is extremely talented and I could not be more happy with the absolute beauty of her work. Her line work and the amount of depth she is able to achieve is stunning. 10/10 I intend to come back for my next tattoo.

I cannot say enough about how positive my experience with Anita Darkling was. I got my very first tattoos with her (two in one session), and she also squeezed in my dad. I'll highlight a few things that I especially appreciated, BEYOND her amazing talent:

1) She is extremely professional and sets super clear expectations about working with her, whether it's about her email response time, her design process/preferences, how to pay, how the tattoo heals, etc.

2) I had a lot of questions, last minute decisions, and requests -- both about the tattoo itself, but also the date, and about my dad joining the appointment. Anita was SO accommodating and kind. She provided lots of options for designs, let my dad make a day-of (and pretty much hour-of) decision about getting a tattoo, and never made us feel like a burden for having questions or taking time to make decisions (in fact, she encouraged it).

3) Maybe most importantly, Anita brought so much compassion to all our interactions. I had never gotten a tattoo before, and my dad is currently struggling with pretty severe anxiety, and she helped both of us feel comfortable and calm. TBH, I almost fell asleep during my first tattoo because I was so relaxed!

I will definitely work with Anita again and encourage everyone to book with her if you can!

P.S. There is a clear bandage over our tattoos in the photo. Also, the Black Serum studio is so nice and comforting. Loved the music and vibes!

I had a great time at Black Serum last week! Kucci was my tattooer & she was so great throughout every step. She was sweet, accommodating, and direct, and the session was a breeze. I particularly appreciated her clarity in communication before and during the tattoo, the precision of the stencil placement, and the efficiency of her work. Her lines are SO clean and the colors are SO vibrant, it was worth every penny. I also really loved the setup of the shop - there are plenty of stations (I wondered if it ever fills up at times) but it felt so roomy and the high ceilings had detailed mouldings that helped keep my mind busy. I loved the dark rustic accents and how trendy and warm it felt - I hope to go back again sometime.

It was an amazing experience. Mimi is an incredible artist and very patient. Absolutely would recommend her to anyone, she truly captured my vision and brought it to life. I will forever be grateful for the work she put into tattoo.

Mimi (MimiSama) did an amazing job on my tattoo project! She's super efficient and such a nice person. Both sessions were a complete success.

I cannot stress enough how wonderful Mimi Sama is! Her attention to detail and understanding of what the piece meant to me was absolutely what I was looking for in an artist. It was my first tattoo in just about 20years, and she made the process completely stress free. She is a badass tattoo artist and an amazing Human. I will absolutely be going to her for another.

I got my first tattoo at Black Serum with Kevin (Blackstone Tattoo) and had an awesome experience!!

I was pretty nervous since this was my first tattoo. Kevin was super helpful every step of the way. He communicated the process well and helped me feel at ease, from booking to finished product. He was super patient and helpful in working through the design I wanted, and offered great artistic ideas to develop a final design that I'm super happy with.

My tattoo healed really well and the inkwork is pristine! Super crisp and precise without being too fine, which is exactly what I wanted.

The shop itself is gorgeous--clean, comfortable, and welcoming. I definitely want to go back already.

I have gotten 3 tattoos here now, one with Cache and two with Mimi-sama. Both artists are so incredibly talented, I love my Haku dragon I received from Cache, the art is stunning and so well executed. My Luna and Gojo tattoos are absolutely incredible. Mimi’s line work and shading for anime work is unmatched!! Will definitely be returning to both these artists!
