Zen Ink

My partner and I both chose to get out first tattoos through a flash sale done by Nic - and it was the best choice. We were both exceedingly happy with the results! Being my first tattoo, I had a case of indecisiveness on placement and size- Nic was so affirming through the whole process and never made me feel silly or dumb despite my many questions. They were so chill and easy to chat with, and of course Zen Ink has immaculate vibes. Thank you for a wonderful experience that we still talk about!

I can only speak to the reiki and gift shop, but I adore this spot in the River Arts District. Janet creates the most loving and supportive atmosphere for her reiki sessions and uses her intuition and empathy to help clients learn, heal, and grow. I'm eternally grateful to her! Besides lovely Janet, Zen Ink also has an amazing store full of beautiful and delightful crystals, jewelry, and other bits & bobs.

I can’t say enough great things about Zen Ink! I had been in to see Kass in September for a piercing and had such a great experience with her that I purposely booked another with her when I was back in town for New Years Eve. While I’ll admit to being slightly upset that my appointment was delayed, Kass, Janet, and Violit more than made up for it. And even when I stopped back in 2 days later with a slight concern about having enough room for healing, Violit took the time to come in, listen to me ramble on about it, and to address the small issue before I drove home 7 hours away. I would happily book another piercing at Zen Ink before even considering researching a piercer closer to where I live. Phenomenal experiences both times!

If I was able to just rate my piercer Kass this rating would be 5 stars but unfortunately my rating for the establishment and my experience as a whole is 2 stars. A small group of us decided to celebrate my sisters birthday with piercings. Janet, the manager, was rude and incredibly unprofessional from the moment she came into the room. She belittled our piercer in front of us and treated our group as if we were a nuisance. She made what should have been a fun celebratory experience into an uncomfortable and overall unpleasant experience. My piercing is great and Kass was wonderful but Janet a little kindness would have gone long way!

Had a fantastic experience here both on the piercing and tattooing sides of the business. I was really impressed by the professionalism displayed all around by every employee we interacted with.

I came in initially hoping to get my septum repierced since it had been out for 2 years (I couldn't get any of my jewelry in and thought it had closed). Instead, Kass suggested she might be able to taper it back open- which ended up working, saving me money and healing time. She also helped me find a good replacement piece of jewelry for an existing daith piercing and changed it out.

Both my husband and I were also able to get a next day tattoo appointment with Faith, who absolutely knocked our requests out of the park. I'm obsessed with my new tattoo and will definitely be back the next time we are in Asheville.

I called about getting a septum piercing. I spoke to the owner’s mother about it, and she said to fill out the consent forms and to come on in. She said I could address all of my questions to the piercer about what I wanted when I arrived. I filled out the form and went into the store. Once I got there the piecer didn’t have any suitable jewelry for a septum piercing in the gauge that I wanted. I left without the piercing I wanted because the person scheduling just wanted to get me in the door in spite of not being able to provide the service requested. This is not the type of service I expect, and I certainly didn’t appreciate the waste of time.

The artists are awesome and the atmosphere is absolutely the best. Never did I feel pressured or rushed into choosing a design for my tattoo. I had a fairly large tattoo covered/reworked by Nic and they did better than I could have ever imagined. I will definitely be using Nic again for future tattoos!

I had a reading from Jessica Janes, a.k.a. "Nomadic Owl." Although I never really believed in the psychic field, she was spot on. She also gave me some help in the store with all the different stones and what they meant. She was super friendly, generous, funny, and knowledgable.

Kass did an absolutely life changing peircing for me and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience! Super clean environment with a beautiful shop to buy from.

Zen Ink! Wow, where to start, first off all the space, THE SPACE. Janet and her daughter have created such a beautiful shop here for their Asheville friends and friends from afar. From crystals, to all other spiritual necessities you can think of (they also carry Anima Mundi products, bonus) they had it all and all of it held its own beauty as well as added to the total beauty of the shop. Next, my personal favorite part, meeting the ever so beautiful soul, Elias. Elias my friend, stay golden baby. Elias made my entire tattooing experience WHOLE. To keep it all simple, he showed up for me and didn’t stop showing up until it was time to go our separate ways. Thank you so much for giving me everything I’ve ever desired in the body art experience, this is coming from someone with 6 tattoos already. So much gratitude to Zen Ink for holding such love for all who enter their doors. My boyfriend got his ear pierced with a lovely being whose name we can’t recall but whose energy will never be forgotten. Thank you Beautiful. We felt heard, seen, and held throughout our entire experience at Zen Ink, Moni and Juan will DEF be back lol. Gratitude, from our souls to yours!
