Atomic Lotus Tattoo

I've received four tattoos from here, but unfortunately I won't be returning again. Back when I was younger, not as tattooed, and much less experienced, I always felt as if the staff (I don't know specific names) were irritated by my questions. And now that I'm more inked, every time I have been back, they have had something negative to say about my other art. The last time I was in, my artist looked rudely remarked that the piece on my arm was the best he had ever seen come out of "that" shop. It was clearly not meant as a compliment, either.

The quality of my first three tattoos is good, but my last one was frustratingly subpar. My vision was not realized even in the slightest. I requested specific colors, and I got the exact opposite. I sent TONS of reference pictures, and they were ignored in favor of a quick google image search instead. The artist looked like he wanted to get me out of there as soon as possible to get the next person in. (3+) Other professional artists have noted that the lineart was shaky, and I personally feel that it looks like it was slapped on as quickly as possible with little regard for my "vision". Unfortunately, it's DARK and in a tight space, making it difficult to fix or cover up...I just made the decision to get it removed.

A few of the staff are REALLY friendly and welcoming, their pricing is good, and they definitely are safe about the tattoo process, so I'll give them that!

Called ahead to make sure they had room bc we were walk ins and it was later (like 1:30 before they closed) girl said it was fine bc we just wanted a flash tat. We went and stood in the back of the line. immediately the"bouncer" told us they weren't gonna let us in when we tried to tell him we called and they said ok he cut me off mid sentence and he said he "didn't care and that we weren't getting tattooed there,at least not that day and to next time make an appointment". Well y'alls website shouldn't say walk-in welcome bc I sure couldn't walk in and I sure didn't feel welcome. Wish I would have read the reviews before I went apparently it's not the first of your staff to be rude.

The costumer service was excellent. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. I didn’t have an appointment and I was in within 20 mins. The people at the desk were very nice and helpful. The cost was very reasonable and you get the bang for you buck. I had the tattoo Artist Erik, he only works weekends, but I would definitely recommend him. Over all, this tattoo shop was great.

Communication was easy - walk-in availability on Saturday was awesome. Dave did a great job! I'll visit again!

I did not get to speak to the artist directly about the details of my tattoo, instead I talked to the cashier and was rushed when talking to him about what I wanted. I wanted a SMALL phrase in a old English font not shaded in just the outline , instead the cashier told me that the phrase was going to have to be big and shaded in Because it was to “difficult “ to just do the outline .

Dave does great work. Super fast with a light hand. Definitely will recommend this shop to others.

I got my first tattoo done here! It was around my ankle. The lines are sharp and well done and the loops are very well done. (I had an infinity sign with inspired replacing one of the loops as an anxiety reminder to stay strong and stay inspired.) I love my tattoo. The artist who did mine was friendly and could tell I was nervous. He very sweetly did his best to calm me down and cracked jokes. We got talking and I was totally at ease. My boyfriend was even allowed back to be supportive! My only problem was the front desk people seemed abit rude but they liked my leather jacket and the man got more calm when I seemed really nervous but and rambled with the reason I was getting it. They loved the idea of it as a reminder of hope. I would totally get another one done there! The price was alittle high but definitely worth the results I got! :)

This place is great! I had already had a bad experience trying to get my tattoo, so I was extremely nervous. But as soon as I walked in Andy, behind the counter, was super nice and professional. He completely put my mind at ease. He helped me choose the best artist for my piece and answered all my questions. He introduced me to Dave Ruiz, who did an AMAZING job on my tattoo. The shop is clean and you could tell health and hygiene are taken seriously. There is definitely a sense of commraderie between everyone there, which makes for a fun and stress-free experience. I'll definitely be sending all my friends there!

I got my first (legitimate) tattoo from Emma, and I couldn’t be happier with it! She was realistic with me about what would look good and hold up, and then gave me thin, clean, beautiful lines. The whole experience was a breeze, she has great taste in music while tattooing, and I can’t wait to go back for a ton more!

I love this place. I have 4 tattoos done here, my first by Josh, 2 & 3 done by Randy, and the most recent one was done by a guest artist, Charly. They are all outstanding artists, the bring in great guests, and everyone in the shop has a good attitude and a sense of humor. They're extremely accommodating for walk-ins, and they give great advice. They won't let you leave here with a bad tattoo.
