Taboo Tattoo

This place is awesome. My girlfriend wanted her tragus pierced. We were in and out in 10 minutes. $40.00 for the piercing plus the hoop. The staff here is so friendly and makes you feel at home. Will be back.

I went here to get my tattoo finished up. Cyle did a fantastic job on doctoring it up, it was 1000 times better. I plan on coming here again for my next tattoo. A great thing about the shop, it has individual rooms. First parlor that I've been to that actually had privacy. Also Cyle was very friendly and he is extremely talented. Highly recommend!

Do not get pierced here!

My partner in Dallas went in to have her septum pierced, and it was an unprofessional, awful, botched experience. She was new to piercing and didn't k ow that everything they we're doing was wrong and irresponsible.

She had to go to Shaman Modifications across town, where they confirmed that the piercing was botched and took out the jewelry.

They never showed her the jewelry before the piercing, were completely apathetic the entire time, and didn't even provide aftercare instructions!

Piercing is a practice that should only be performed by those who are passionate and competent, and the piercer at Taboo Tattoo was neither.

They may have good tattoo artists, but save yourself a terrible experience and go somewhere else for piercings and mods. (Apparently Shaman Modifications was a great place.)

I walked into taboo for the first time yesterday with my idea and my artist Tim was immediately excited to start working on my tattoo. He did an awesome job and I will definitely be going back! An awesome tattoo from an awesome artist from an awesome shop!

My wife and I visited Taboo Tattoo on Valentine’s Day to cover up a small tattoo on her hand. She wanted a colorful feather that would flow with her hand. We were referred to KNDL who seemed competent enough to handle our request. After leaving that day my wife turned to me with dissatisfaction and concern that there wasn’t enough color and the color palette wasn’t what she requested. I called back to voice our concern and the front desk guy suggested that we wait a few weeks for it to heal. Needless to say that we had to drive another hour to get there to fix what wasn’t done properly in the first place. This time more color was added but KNDL obviously went to deep causing an area of the tattoo to scab so bad that the color didn’t hold. To top it off we had to pay additional money to correct what should have been right the first time.
Again, we waited another 3 weeks for it to heal fully. I called ahead of time to let them know we were coming and to make sure KNDL was there. We drove another hour in traffic to get there and find them smoking out in the front. There was little or no concern and we were informed to come back in a few days because it wasn’t ready to be worked on a 3rd time. There was no priority or sense of urgency since this was clearly an issue that they were going to have to correct. We voiced our frustrations with no regard from the staff. This is a very unprofessional shop with a lack of knowledge and talent.
We decided to locate another shop while we were in the area to get a 2nd opinion. We found Artistic Encounter and Dominque Ransom. She was confident from the beginning and didn’t hesitate to start right away fixing and color correcting the previous work done at Taboo Tattoo. Dominque was amazingly efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. We would both highly recommend Artistic Encounter to anyone looking for a top notch shop with top notch artists that can tackle any challenge or project.

I can't speak to the quality of the other artists, but Chelsi has done nearly all of my work. She's a general pleasure to be around and can really put you at ease if you're getting your first tattoo. Any amount of time spent under her needle goes by in a flash and she's committed to providing the best quality tattoo possible. Follow her advice and you'll have a tattoo that heals up beautifully and lasts a good long while. She's not at all heavy handed, but still manages to pack in stunning color and detail. She's the absolute best to see if you're in the market for any sort of nerdy tattoo, being a bit of a nerd herself. But if you look through her porfolio, and feel like you dig her style, I can't endorse her original work enough. Take a chance and let her give you something that's one of a kind and completely original.

Came in and got a Harry Potter tattoo. Not only did Chelsi know exactly where I was going she made it better than I could have imagined and add her own skill and talent to make it really pop. Best tattoo I have gotten so far in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.

Love this place and tattoo! Easy to find and get to. I recevied a cover up tattoo from Carlos and he did an amazing job! He actually free handed the koi fish and lotus with sharpies on my wrist first which amazed me! Very talented artist! He spent a lot of time and care on it making sure it was detailed and that I was satisfied with it in the end. I definitely recommend this place and artisit!

I got a helix ear piercing & a collar bone tattoo all in the same visit for my 18th birthday. I have nothing to complain about! Every employee was absolutely respectful & caring & the overall experience couldn’t have been better!

I went and got my tongue pierced here about a month ago not professional! They didn’t use anything to help them hold my tongue out and he almost pierced through my bottom lip. it shouldn’t hurt anymore but every time I change my tongue ring my nerves in my tongue cry for help it feels like they’re being ripped apart I will never in a million years go back. In my opinion piercings aren’t there go to.
