Salem Ink Tattoo and Art Gallery

Very disappointed in this shop and the people who work there. We were staying the weekend in Salem not being from around here. We decided to do a small little tattoo. This place was one of the places that had good reviews and did walk ins. We walked in signed in knowing there was a slight chance of being taken. Didn’t hear anything that night just figured they were busy so we went back the next day right when they opened at 12pm , Saturday morning but we waited outside for 25 mins. Finally went in and signed in again. Only 4 people ahead of us so we stayed closed by, but then 3-3 1/2 hours passed and I called and said we would be next seeing how they would be open a little later. By 6, we heard nothing so we went in and stopped by. Turns out we were skipped over. We were told no one wanted to do finger tattoos. We both have tattoos and know the outcomes of finger tattoos but we were willing to pay for it. I am very disappointed and upset because no one gave us a curtsey call to tell us that. That is very unprofessional especially being skipped over on a list and went there first thing when they opened. Being a artist & a professional as myself, you should give future clients a call and let them know and not just skip over. Even speaking to someone who said we would be next, she didn’t even say anything. Very disappointed because we wasted our time waiting just specially for this place. I do not recommend it , not happy with how they handled it.

I came here for my first big tattoo (covers the side of my thigh) from Heather who did an amazing job bringing my dream tattoo to reality! She has such a steady hand, amazing line/dot work, and is very friendly which helps alleviate some of the pressure! I highly recommend Salem Ink and Art Gallery!

I've followed Heather's work for years now, and I have nothing but respect for her work ethic, artistic eye, and concept design. I went to her with a few ideas for a cover-up design combining concepts of stained glass, graffiti & water color and she came up with an amazing design that I absolutely love. Salem Ink is, by far, one of the cleanest tattoo parlors I've ever been in. They require a deposit --and are over an hour drive away from me-- and I wouldn't think twice about making the trip again. I highly recommend checking them out and seeing for yourself.

Absolutely LOVE Heather! Gave her ideas for what I wanted and she went above and beyond with her talent, I love my tattoo. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. The studio itself is very clean, they have great artwork on display, and everyone there is friendly and personable.

Had a great experience over the last month with Salem Inc. Went for 2 4+ hour sessions for a shoulder tattoo and found the establishment clean and aesthetic and its employees to be extremely professional and committed to their work. The artist who did my piece (Matt) was completely devoted to the tattoo during our sessions, taking less than 3 5 minute breaks during each of our two sessions. He proved to be very knowledgeable about tattoos and their healing process. I plan to return for more work to this shop and would recommend it to my friends and others who are interested in getting tattoos in the future.

These guys are simply amazing. I went to Salem on Tuesday. We called to see if they had anything open for me to come in and get a tat. They said sure come in when you can no rush. We walked there and as we opened the door we were greeted with a smile. Salem Ink is by far the cleanest shop I've ever stepped foot in. When I got my tattoo Adam Harmon did it, he made sure to put it where I wanted it and that man does crisp neat lettering. These guys with being so professional yet so down to earth makes the shop such a better place. I've been there once but will for sure make the hour drive to get more work done by them. these guys deserve 10 stars but noooo google only allows 5. I recommend if you want an amazing tattoo I suggest you make the trip and go see them. Great team they are!!!

Salem ink is my favorite tattoo parlor by far. My girlfriend, her friend, and I all came in as walk ins on a busy day and all of the tattooists were very accommodating. All of their artwork is amazing and top of the line. Everyone was very friendly and talkitive which was nice. The minimum was $100 but everyone was very flexible with our budgets. I recommend this establishment for anyone looking to get a tattoo. They have a bunch of different artists with different styles so someone there would be able to tattoo whatever you are looking for.

I think I found my new tattoo parlor! Extremely welcoming staff, sanitary and comfortable atmosphere. Worked with artist Heather to help create a sunflower design to honor my late father. I was blown away by what she had come up with. Utterly talented and exceeded my expectations. I am beyond thrilled with my piece and can't wait to add the final touches in a few weeks. This is one of the best studios you can go to in the greater Boston area. The shop is extremely clean and filled with amazing art work done by some of the artists. One artist in particular Heather, has done four of my tattoos and they couldn't have come out any better. She specializes in nature tattoos and has incredible line work. Her instagram is hcierritattos. Owner of the store, Loki is extremely funny and overall a funny dude. Each artist is very priced for the quality of work they do. If you're looking for a good experience and some great work done please give these guys a visit.

I decided to get a tattoo while on vacation from Salem Ink, and I'm so glad I did! The shop was beautiful, super clean, awesome staff, and Ricky made sure I got exactly what I wanted!! He kept drawing the design to ensure it was perfectly aligned with what I was seeking. Extremely happy with my experience there!!
